The Roanoke Colony mysteriously vanished on Aug 18,
1590. The buildings were put down gently, not violently. All their stuff was
gone. On a tree carved the words, “CROATOAN”. Before people could figure out what happened, the weather turned bad so they had to leave. I think that the Roanoke moved to
the island Croatoan to join an American Indian tribe. Why? They didn’t have any good farmers,
so they went to the Indians for help.
