School

So, we got our yearbooks today, and mine was AWESOME. Anyways, since I bought the signature edition, I got to customize my book. On the front, it says (my name)'s Awesome Yearbook. It has a picture of a soccer ball, a skateboarder, a snowboarder, and a swimmer. I also got giant sticky notes and markers. On the inside, there's lots of pictures of me, and, at the back, top 10's and pop culture, etc. Anyways, I was the only one who bought a yearbook, so basically I was hoarded by a crowd of people who wanted to both sign my book and look at the front. My yearbook's awesome!

Book (so far)

Gaze

By Ty Kennedy

Prologue

On a cold night, two friends, Alex and Tom, approach Middleton High School to work on their basketball techniques for the tournament coming up soon.

As they enter the doors, a slight creaking noise and some dust that has never appeared before comes in sight. Of course, Alex doesn't think of anything wrong, and neither does Tom.

They walk through the narrow hallway filled with trophies and, occasionally, a few staff lockers.  As they walk closer to the gym, Alex stops and stares into the distance, like he just got turned to stone by Medusa. Tom cannot sense the slightest movement and backs away from the inhuman-like stance that Alex presents. Alex finally blinks after a mere 30 seconds and starts moving like nothing ever happened. He walks casually towards the gym while Tom is still frightened and starts to also stare in the distance, but only for a moment.

Tom runs up to Alex and asks him about what just happened. Alex says he never remembered standing still while answering in a confused way. Tom replies with an "Okay then" and opens the door.

As they walk into the gym, Alex senses something is wrong just as the doors slam shut. Too fast. Alex and Tom's eyes widen in shock. Alex gags and Tom nearly faints.

They both catch a long glimpse of something they were never supposed to see, something beyond strange and horrid, something no man or woman could even have the abilities to even try doing, something that could only be possible by the devil himself.

Alex is pinned to the wall, being dragged upward to the ceiling of the 40-foot-tall gym and hears a faint voice say, "YOU WILL TELL NO ONE." The last thing Alex sees is him falling down the 40-foot gym and hitting the ground. Alex isn't hurt, however. His eyes are forced shut, same to his mouth, and the only thing he can do is make a muffled whisper. He then just lays still, hopeless, not able to move anything.

All of a sudden, the horrible image fades, and Alex and Tom are able to open their eyes again. They can't remember anything and start practicing basketball like nothing happened.

When it's time to go, they both leave the gym only to find that the trophies and exit signs have been cracked and left on the floor, and the garbage cans have been lodged into the walls. All their memories come back into place and are now terrified.

They hear a loud bang and start to bolt towards the door, only to find it locked. Alex smashes the door about 6 times, with no luck.

Tom rushes to the other hallway, finally finding another door that opens perfectly.

Tom runs back to Alex, only to see that Alex is on the floor, half dead. Tom swears and drags Alex to the other door, but now that door seems to be hard to open.

Tom bangs the now heavy door a few times, getting closer to it being open every time. On his last hit, the door cleanly opens. Too clean.

Tom still has lots of force left, sending them flying to the bottom of the long flight of stairs that led to the school.

Chapter One

When I was little, I used to be afraid of ghosts. They were the thing that fueled my nightmares. They caffeinated me. And when I heard the rumor about Middleton High School, I was scarred. Not scared, but scarred. I got so scared, I fell asleep in a closet so when the ghosts came out, they wouldn't find me. Plus, Middleton High School was a school right by my Savannah hometown, and it had just shut down for no reason (at this time)

Soon, I got into ghost stories. And I remembered the Middleton High rumor. I wanted to see if it was real or not. So, I grabbed a bunch of friends who wanted to go, and lead them to the school.

What I did plan for was it to be dark, so I brought a flashlight. What I did plan for was for me to catch anything I saw on camera, so I brought a camera. What I did plan for was it to be hard to talk to my friends just in case something happened, so I brought a walkie-talkie. What I didn't plan for was how we can escape. Hopefully, we don't need to. Who knows if the doors will randomly lock themselves?

Chapter Two

"Okay, are you getting this?"

"Yeah, got it."

"Okay, I'm Felix and this is Reese."

"Hey, I'm Reese!"

"Okay, we know that, shut up."

A few chuckles go through the group as Reese records it. On the other hand, Ryan is in the corner of the camera, nervous of what we're about to do.

"Here we have Ryan..."

"Hey."

“Jack...”

“Sup.”

“Tom…”

“Wazzup boi!”

"And finally, Sophie!"

"Yo."

"Okay, in case you don't know what we are doing, which you probably don't, we are checking out a school that appears to be where the rumored 'gym' incident happened. Fun. Don't tell anyone or we might get fined for trespassing! Shhh..."

Nervous laughter occurs. Ryan is still nervous, being the backup. He wants to leave the group, knowing that he's the smartest person in his Abby High School homeroom. 'No smart person does something this dumb', he mutters loud enough for me to hear. I thought the same thing earlier. Now, we're doing it. I'm scared, too. But I'm acting all happy. So, I guess I'm excited.

Chapter Three

10:15 P.M.

Video Entry 1

I just opened the door. Oh man. This is gonna be fun. Right now, I’m walking down the hallway towards the gym, as you can see. Um, I’m kinda scared about this. Okay, you know what? I’m gonna be quiet until I enter the gym.

*30 seconds pass with only the sound of footsteps*

Okay, I’m there. Reese?

“What?”

Ready?

“Sure.”

Okay, one, two, three-

*Silence*

Nothing. Wow. We came here for nothing? How about I shut the door?

Okay, still nothing. You know what? This was just a rumor. It’s fake. Let’s go-

*A cabinet opens, revealing what we think is a passage*

Okay, that’s weird. What’s in there-

*Watch beeps*

Crap, I gotta go.

*Scream is heard*

*Video ends all blurry*

Chapter Four

Oh man. I just heard a scream. Reese is running too. I’m leaving. I’ll call my friends later. Just-gotta-open-this-DOOR. Can’t do it. We’re stuck. Okay, now my priority is calling my backup, Sophie.

No response. If you’re dead, I’ll remember you. But right now, I gotta find my friends. See ya.

“Ryan? Okay, Reese- “Oh no. Reese is gone.

“Reese? Reese. REESE?”

“WHAT, WHAT, WHAT?”

“WHERE WERE YOU? I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!”

“I was looking around, Felix.”

“Okay, fine. Sorry.”

I need to find Ryan, Jack, and Tom.

“OH MY GOD! HELP ME!”

We both turn around.

Tom.

“You gotta help me. Jack-I think they got him. OH GOD, JACK- “

“Okay, okay, calm down. Where did you last see him?”

“I didn’t see him. I just heard him scream!”

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah…NO. I’M NOT. IT’S AFTER ME, TOO, FELIX.”

The silence was broken by a roar.

“Oh no.”

Spongebob SquareOCEANMAN

So, our class watched the Spongebob Squarepants movie in class. Not a good idea. Right when the ending happened, literally everyone yelled, "OCEAN MAN, TAKE ME BY THE HAND LEAD ME TO THE LAND THAT YOU UNDERSTAND" and that made me laugh. But the thing was, the teacher was very amused. But she wasn't when a random kid opened the door and said the same thing. The thing is, that Ocean Man song got really popular on Vine, so this happened with the 5th grade class too. So now everyone sings Ocean Man really loudly wherever our class goes. So, yeah. Fun.

something

All this time I've been wondering. Where am I? What am I doing here? This isn't Earth. It never was. But it looks the same. The last time I was on Earth I was taking Jack back home to California. Then someone called John hacked into Jack's computer, and started messaging us with weird letters. Then Jonah and I tried to trace his message. Then we found where we lived. Jonah insisted on going there and I said no. But we did end up going. Then we found his house. It was abandoned. I insisted on going there. We went in to find nothing. And then Jack (back in the car) screamed. We looked for him and found him. Then he was flying in mid air. Then we blacked out.

I don't remember anything else. But this isn't Earth.

Da Fair

I went to the Birmingham Fair on Saturday and Sunday. I thought it was fun. I went on this ride called Screamer Xtreme. Everyone that went on it with me thought they were going to die. That was the same for Freak Out. I met some friends there that liked the rides that I went one. Others, not so much. I met this one girl called Sophia (people called her Bob). She played some arcade games with me and we went on Screamer and Freak Out. She really liked those a lot. I thought it was fun to meet new people and meet my friends and go on rides a lot. It was lots of fun!

Abandoned

Okay, I may have made this post earlier, but I just want to say something. There's this abandoned house on our street, and I swear I saw a tire swing that was not supposed to be there moving. Today. So I didn't make this post earlier! That's a relief, because if I didn't, I must have gone through some serious time traveling. So, yeah. Anyways, everyone moved out for no apparent reason. So, I wanted to find out why. They said it was the foundation, but they wouldn't move that far away from our street and have one of the people that lived there tell me there was a ghost. So, yeah. I might find out, but I probably won't. This is a blog, after all.

IDK

Nothing interesting ever happened to me. Nothing. It was the same routine every day. Wake up, eat, bus ride, school, bus ride, swim, eat, sleep. One day, I came home to find something in the mail. I never got mail. It was a DVD. The cover looked like it was written on a crumpled piece of paper. "HELLO" was written in black marker on the front. It showed a picture of a smiley face. The eyes were blank, and the smile looked nothing like a smile. It looked like the face was looking for me. I flipped it over to find nothing. I opened the case. There was nothing on the DVD. I put it in the DVD player. One part of me wants me to take it out and rip it to shreds, another to watch. It takes a long time to load, so I get a drink. Just as I'm getting back, my brother screams. I run back. I almost drop my glass. My brother's gone, but the TV's still loading. I sit down, and then feel dizzy. Something comes out of the TV. It's that smiley face. My eyes close. I feel me hit something, and then nothing. I open my eyes. I'm in a weird town.

Movement Festival

Hey guys. I just went to a music festival in downtown Detroit. It was called the Movement Festival. I saw a lot of cool people and some really good performers. What I didn't see were the best performers since I only went to one of the three days of the festival. I missed Kill the Noise, What So Not, Bixel Boys, and others from OWSLA. OWSLA is Skrillex's record label. I loved watching and listening to Maceo Plex, Kraftwerk, and some others perform. What I need to tell you is that everywhere you walked, you heard SUPER LOUD BASS. Since it was in Hart Plaza, you also saw a nice view across the Detroit river to Canada. I got to try a lot of DJ equipment too. A famous older lady called Grandma Techno gave me earplugs to wear so my ears wouldn't explode. She said that all DJs wear earplugs. She was sort of right because of all the bass. She's been attending the festival since it first began ten years ago. Everyone kept wanting to take selfies with her (I should have but I didn't know she was famous at the time). She can't walk because she is disabled and in a scooter.  She loves to hold onto the stage railings and dance with her upper body, head, and arms only. Anyways, it was an awesome concert!

Undertale

OH MY GOD! I'm almost done with Undertale! I still have to fight Asgore, Asriel, and Flowey, but I really don't care. I beat Metatton (Which was SUPER HARD for me) and now I have to fight someone that I can barely get. Man, I can't believe I got this far! Just reaching the core was hard! Thank god I bought all those Glamburgers! I might need help to get to the end of the Asgore fight, but I'm trying to do it myself. I really, really hope that I get to the end so I can progress further into the game! Wish me luck!

Timo

Timo visited today and is currently watching Paw Patrol. He's fine right now but he was CRAZY earlier. Cameron is still crazy, and I was practicing ballet (?). Timo was destroying everything earlier. NEVER MIND HE'S KICKING THE WALL! Never mind he's-OH NOW HE'S STANDING ON THE COUCH! I was totally wrong about this. Timo's hissing at me now. Whatever. What I'm trying to say is that it's Grandpa's birthday and Timo and Cameron are absolutely crazy! Anyways, I hope I survive.

Ty out.

IDK

On December 19th, 5 students (including me) brought the Helping the Homeless project to BCS. Through announcements and advertisements, we collected diapers, baby food and wipes to give to homeless mothers in Oakland County that are in need of supplies for their children through the Lighthouse program. I started this. I got the idea from how everyday I would always see a homeless person. One time in McDonald’s, a woman asked us if we could help her get breakfast. One of the questions asked was, “What is your opinion on the Lighthouse project?” Our interviewee, Ty K., responded, “We saw a problem with mothers not being able to supply their infant children with the necessary sanitary products, such as diapers and wet-wipes.”  Another question that we asked was, “What do you think could be another opinion on your Lighthouse project?” We asked Hanna D. what her opinion was. She, “thought it was a good idea.” We also had a question, “Why is this homeless organization called ‘Lighthouse’?”

Not-Yo-Popcorn

A long time ago (about a month ago), in a galaxy really close away (aka ours), a group of four kids decided, “Hey! I want good popcorn! All these flavors are bland and sucky!” and then, out of the blue, a random voice said, “How about we make our own really weird combos of popcorn! Then we won’t need to eat this dumb popcorn!” Everyone said yes and thus started a company called, ‘Not-Yo-Popcorn’. Yay.

Not-Yo-Popcorn is a company (not yet unless we get your help) that makes wacky flavors that may taste bad or good, depending on your palate. The thing that makes the popcorn different from other popcorn is that it is healthy for you. We use reduced fat products and spices with many vital ingredients for keeping you healthy.  It is perfect for kids.

You can try our Sweet Section, which is basically something for the sweet tooth. Try our 4th of July popcorn, which is a combination of pop rocks and basically firecracker popcorn. Or you can try Sweet Dreams, a combination of red velvet, cake batter and ice cream sundae popcorn. Christmas time and you have nothing to eat? Try Peppermint Delight, a combination of chocolate mint and peppermint popcorn.

Going for something a little bit more manly? Try our Man Up section! You can try our most famous popcorn, the famous Nacho Popcorn (that's where we got our name from) which is just Nacho Popcorn!  Want to try something more dangerous? Try our Scared Straight Popcorn, which is some of the spiciest popcorn around!

I’m Ty, I’m Colin, I’m Owen, and I’m Austin, and this is Not-Yo-Popcorn!

Song

My heart beats to the drum
As the wind makes a small hum.
The breeze carries me
As the world slows time.
And I feel so high.
Higher than the sky.
And I know I’m not alone.
Cause this is always my home.
And I go like
Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!
I go
Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!
Cause I know I’m not alone.

As hard as it can be
I’m feeling free.
I’m touching the clouds.
Look at me now.
And I’m feeling so tall
Taller than the biggest mall.
And I know I’m not alone.
Cause this is always my home.
And I go like
Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!
I go
Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!

Cause I know I’m not alone.

Top 3 Undertale Secrets

1.

At the end of the game, dodge all the touched credits. If you do so, a door will unlock all the way in Snowdin. When you go in, you will be treated to "Toby Fox's Office". There will be a dog representing Toby Fox who accidentally made a game by barking.

2. If you set your time to October 10th at 8:00 P.M., an enemy called SO SORRY will say that he's late to an art meeting. This character was put in during a Kickstarter to get Undertale up and running.

3.

W.D. Gaster

W.D. Gaster is a character that lots of theories have been made about him. The only thing we know is by going into the True Lab. Here is where Gaster worked before something happened and then vanished and then Alphys became the Royal Scientist. Basicaly, there are supposed to be 21 entries, but Entry 17 is missing.  To find it, name the fallen human Gaster. The game then crashes. When you open it up, W.D. Gaster's Entry 17 is showing. But all in Wing Dings. So W.D. Gaster most likely stands for Wing Dings Gaster. Everything else is a mystery.

Williamsburg

2 days ago, I went to Williamsburg. It was really fun! We went to Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown. I got to see James river. It was very cool! We also went to Ripely's Belive it or Not Museum. There was so much to do there! I also saw some really neat chickens. What's so neat about them? They are super endangered, and those are the few remaining. I got a ton of souvenirs. This includes soap, bouncy balls, and more! Anyways, it was a super fun trip and I really hope I get to go their again!

Motivational Poems

As if life is as good as it gets,
Things may seem terrible for you.
Trust me.
I’ve had worse times.
It’s like holding on to the thinnest branch
In the world
While suspended 500
Feet in the air.
This is how it feels to be frightened and alone.
But I promise
Life will get better.
I promise.

It’s not over.
And you know that.
Why do you think this?
Why do you think
That you’ve lost?
Yes,
You haven’t won.
But no, you haven’t lost,
Either.
Stay positive.
It always works.
And if it doesn’t,
Don’t be scared.
The ball is in your court.

Williamsburg

I am going to Williamsburg tomorrow so you don't have to read this stuff the rest of the weekend. Yay for you! So, I'm bringing a waterproof camera on the trip, and when we go in a pool or whatever, I can take pictures of me in the pool. So while I'm at it, I might take pictures of me diving into the pool or whatever. So after that, I'm taking other pictures while in the aquarium, the boat tour thing, the Ripely's Believe it or Not, or something else. It's going to be a super fun trip, and I know its going to be! See you soon!

Limerick Poems and other Poems???

Timo

Timo is a Timo.
He likes to call himself Weimo
But when I do
he says no
and says, "MY NAME IS TIMO!"

Squirrel

There once was a fat, weird squirrel.
She called herself a ballerina girl.
But when she tried twirling
she ended up hurling
down to the center of the world.

Fame

Famous
is a dark thought
when you could have all the power
in the world.
Just for being
Famous.

Undertale

So, I'm making progress on the Pacifist Run in Undertale. I was on neutral, but I decided not to do neutral. It's actually lots of fun. I can skip the Muffet fight because I got a Spider Donut. Last time, I have no idea what happened. It vanished from my inventory. And I couldn't find it. So that made it harder to go through the game. That's why I restarted. So I could skip that battle and not get harmed as much. Maybe. But I'm still going to beat this game. It will be hard, but it will be fun. I WILL BEAT IT!

Williamsburg

So, on Friday, I'm going to Virginia to go to Williamsburg. I think it will be a lot of fun! We are checking out an aquarium that looks REALLY cool. We also get to see the Ripely's Believe It or Not museum! We are checking out Colonial Williamsburg too. I'm not staying there for long, though. I'm there 3 days. And I don't even get to skip one day of school. Well, that's not true, but my mom's not letting me. See, I get back from the trip a 5 A.M. So that makes it so I'm really tired. But my mom doesn't want me to, so that's a bummer. Either way, it should be super fun!

Airtime

In a little bit, I'm going to Airtime. I don't know what I'm going to do, but I know I'm going to dominate everyone in dodgeball. I train there once or twice a month. Normally. Sometimes I do more. Basically, I've learned a few tactics. I'll explain them to you.

1. DO NOT GROUP UP.

Most people will group up. What happens? More people target them because if you miss one person, you can hit another person. Being in the group sometimes limits your visibility and can easily get you out if you can't see. You can also get hurt by tripping, other people falling on you, etc.

2. AIM FOR THE LEGS.

Never aim for somebody's chest or head. They can easily get you out from catching the ball. Aiming for the legs gives you a better chance of not getting you out. Even this can happen and happened to me once: I got hit by a ball in the chest and I didn't catch it. I fell down and started crawling. The ball landed between my legs and I caught him out (accidentally).

3. DO NOT TAUNT.

Taunting can get you in more trouble and make people furious at you. More people will try to hit you and you could get hurt depending on how mad the person[s] are.

Undertale

So, I just got Undertale. It's really fun! Basically, what you do is fight people, flee battles, heal yourself, and spare the people. At the end of the genocide route, scary stuff happens. Chara is a demon that follows you the whole time. It's kind of scary how the ending happens. The pacifist route is fun. You don't need to harm anyone and you won't see Chara. The last thing you see is a bunch of 9's from Chara. It's scary but cool. I'm doing the neutral route right now. The only person I've harmed is Toriel. That's it.

Sense of Direction

So, on our trip to Florida and back, a reign of terror began.
What happened?
In Tennessee, my mom said she had a good sense of direction.
Moments later, she turned out to jinx herself and be wrong.
She took a wrong turn 3 times from Tennessee to Georgia, taking about 2 hours of our time away from getting there.
In Georgia, she went north instead of south when she got off an exit.
She said she was distracted by a stray kitten.
We had to get off another exit and back on the right side of the freeway.
In Florida, she took about 30-55 wrong turns everywhere she walked.
On the way back to Michigan, she took 4 more wrong turns.
Thus, the terror finally ended.
Way to go, mom.

TF2

So today I was playing TF2. What's the big deal? I was on the Blu team;alone. So it was hard for me to kill the rest of the team. But somehow I eliminated all 18 people. Twice in a row. So that was cool. But how did it happen? A lot of people were clumsy enough to speedrun the map, but those people died first. The rest died on the traps I didn't use (or at least a few of them). A lot didn't know what to do and died without setting traps. So that happened twice in a row. It was fun eliminating everyone you did and didn't like.

Lebrons

So, on Saturday, I got Lebron 13's. More commonly known as the Lebron Akronites. They're black and gold and purple, and they're really cool. A lot of people in my class started touching my shoes because they all liked them. Some of them wanted to have them and tried taking them off (not really, but you get the point). I couldn't find a picture of them, but they look just like the regular Akronites. I think they're my favorite shoes. They cost about 200 dollars but they were on sale for 99.99. They're also really comfy. They're the best shoes ever!

Jungle Java

So today I'm going to Jungle Java. I don't feel like going outside today, so it's happening. I'm thinking of dominating people in tag and being really scared. Last time I went, I was in an intense game of tag and everyone was as fast as me. I found good hiding spots.  But not good enough to be found. So, most of the time, I was hiding in a slide and in a flap on something else. When they found me, I would slide down. When I was in a flap, I could see them, but I couldn't run away. So that made it really hard.

Undertale.exe

So, I haven't gotten Undertale yet, but I've started playing Undertale.exe. I don't know what it's totally about yet, but it's pretty cool. It is a little spooky so far, but I don't know where it's going to go. Basically, the only characters I've seen are Frisk Frisk, Chara, and Sans. Everything else is muffled. Just like all exe. games, everything doesn't really have a plot. This means I can't really explain what's happening. When I DO get Undertale, I'm going to learn stuff I don't know. So that's a first. I only know the main characters, like Sans and Toriel, and then Temmie. So bye.

TF2

So, I'm still playing Team Fortress 2 and I've gotten better. I played with Gabe a few weeks ago and he really wanted a weapon I had. For those who don't know, Gabe is an expert at TF2. I had the Pholgistonator and he said it's an OP weapon. He thought I bought it it was that good. I actually found it, and then everyone wanted it. I have a good level on it too. Level 60. That makes the weapon really good in games.

Timo

So Timo, Will, Rider, and Luke are coming next week for some reason. The only problem is that Timo is it for tag, which makes things scary. He's really fast, so that makes us easier targets. After he tags you, he does "karate" on you too. He'll try to slam you on the ground. He normally knows where you hide, too. I once hid in my closet, and he found me right away. It was really scary, too. So, if you play hide and seek tag with Timo, you're in for a bad time.

After he tags you, he does "karate" on you too. He'll try to slam you on the ground. He normally knows where you hide, too. I once hid in my closet, and he found me right away. It was really scary, too. So, if you play hide and seek tag with Timo, you're in for a bad time.

Will

So, I was at Will and Rider's house yesterday, and some crazy stuff happened. Rider was chasing Will and I for a long time. It was hard because Rider was really fast and their house is small. I had to run around in circles for a long time. Will actually got tagged a lot. I had to be agile and climb to the top of the bed bunk to stay away from Rider. Next week, Timo is it, and it will be very scary for all of us. This week, I don't know whats going to happen.

back.

Alright. I haven't blogged in a while, and that's because I always had to go to bed right away so I could get up early in the morning to do stuff. And now that I'm back from Florida, I can write about the things I did. I'm only choosing the highlights.

A day after day 2, we went back to Cocoa Beach. I swam there for a bit. We also went to Gator Golf, where I got to hold a live baby alligator.

I didn't really keep track, so the rest are things I did.

I went on a cruise to Castaway Cay and got sun poisoned.

I went to Disney World and checked out all 4 theme parks in one day. The day before I went to Disney Springs.

I went to Universal Studios for the first time. I checked out every ride I wanted to go on, so that's a first. Rip Ride Rockit was really fun, including the vertical part when you go up vertically.

And now, I'm back from the trip and sad. And the weather sucks.

Day Two: YAY AT HOTEL

Okay, so today we finally got to Florida's Cocoa Beach after another 7 hours of driving to here. We first checked out our hotel (Raddison Resort at the Port) and swam in the pool. Before we went swimming here, we went to Cocoa Beach and I swam in the Atlantic Ocean. The cool thing was that I never touched nor seen an ocean in real life before. So that was a first. Then we checked out the hot tub at the pool. It was really hot! It was cut short by thunder, so yeah. Next stop, KSC!

Day One: DRIVING WAS FUN I GUESS

Okay, so today, as you might know, I'm driving to Florida for a cruise and other stuff. Basically all today was was dedicated to driving. We went through a teeny tiny bit of Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee. There were these GIGANTIC mountains that looked like hills in Tennessee, and there was even a scenic view sign. We ate at a Chick-fil-a for lunch, and some Mexican restaurant for dinner. Right now, I'm in a Red Roof in Atlanta, Georgia and right now, the toilet doesn't work. I really hope I won't be sleeping and then all of a sudden "BLARGPPPP" comes out of the bathroom and scares the crap out of me. So yeah. Fun.

THREE DAYS

Three days until I go go Flordia! I'm going on Monday and stuff, and it will be fun! I'm going to write a blog and other awesomeness while I'm there so stay tuned! So today, I'm writing about how I can't wait for it and I might watch a Disney movie! Anyways, we are going on a car ride so its going to take a while to get there. We are going to USO (Universal Studios Orlando) and WDW! It will be so much fun!

Is Pluto A Planet?

Copyright 2016

Should Pluto Be A Planet?

- - - - X
Pluto: we all know it’s controversial wonders and how NASA, in 2006, announced to the world that Pluto is not classified as a planet anymore, but rather a dwarf planet. Lots of people were unsurprisingly angered by the news, while others were satisfied. But why were some of those people satisfied? I’m Ty Kennedy, and I’m going to tell you why people were satisfied and why Pluto shouldn’t be a planet.
DID YOU KNOW?
Pluto was named Pluto by an eleven year old girl in Oxford, England in 1931.

WHY SHOULDN’T PLUTO BE A PLANET?

- - - - X
First, let’s talk about it’s highly elliptical orbit. It travels around the Sun in a “squashed circle”. In fact, Pluto’s orbit is so elliptical that it occasionally switches places with Neptune. This means (if Pluto was considered a planet) that Neptune would be at one point the eighth planet farthest from the Sun and later the ninth planet farthest from the Sun. Plus, it takes 248 years to orbit the Sun, longer than any other planet by far. And, Pluto orbits in the Kuiper Belt, a type of asteroid belt.

It’s size is very small. Compared to other planets, Pluto is dwarfed by every single one. In the Kuiper Belt, astronomers have found bigger dwarf planets, like Eris, which has about 28% more mass than the mass of Pluto. Even so, Eris has never been considered a planet. Pluto is 600 miles wide, while Mars, our smallest planet (so far), is 4,222 miles wide.

Some people say that Pluto should be a planet because we have gotten satellites there. That doesn’t mean that Pluto should be a planet. We have gotten satellites everywhere, but that doesn’t mean they’re planets. That’s like saying the Sun is a planet because we have taken pictures of it, when the Sun is classified as a star. Satellites don’t ever matter when counting distance as a planet, and neither do rovers.

When I was little, my mom told me NASA stated Pluto wasn’t a planet anymore. At that time, I was upset. Now, I understand why Pluto isn’t a planet anymore. There’s a highly elliptical orbit, the size is way too small, and even though there’s satellites, that doesn’t mean it’s considered a planet. Those are the reasons why I personally think Pluto isn’t a planet.

Stopping ISIS Minus The War

Almost every week, you probably hear something about ISIS. You most likely heard about the Paris attacks and how refugees are leaving Syria and Iraq from war. But why is ISIS attacking? Well, they just want to attack. No other reason. These types of groups are the only reason that make other people think that all Muslims are war-loving freaks. But they’re not. I, myself, have many Muslim friends that are very kind and never dream of war. They even dream of stopping ISIS. But how can we stop ISIS without killing many innocent people, from our side and their side? Hi! I’m Ty Kennedy, and this is why we shouldn’t go to war.

HOW CAN WE STOP ISIS?

- - - - X
First off, we need to know a few things. Number one, ISIS is putting us in danger and, number two, fighting ISIS is too risky. There are even better ways to stop ISIS. We’ll get to that later. Let’s start off with number one first.

If we go to war, we are putting thousands of U.S. soldiers in danger of injury and even death. ISIS’s defense is too strong for us. We cannot set foot into Syria. Iran even warned the military by saying that they are going to “return to their country in a wooden coffin”. Starting a war would make it so that ISIS would target our country more than others. This would put our country at greater risk to live in and put U.S. citizens in danger. According to Phyllis Bennis, writer of Portside’s How To Combat ISIS Without War, war would kill hundreds of innocent Iraqi and Syrian citizens. Many people would be at risk of death from air strikes, grenades, guns, etc. Clearly, a war would kill and injure many innocent people.

Our military isn’t preparing well. ISIS could be stopped in one month, but the military is too scared. This means that the U.S. Military isn’t ready for war yet. ISIS has stronger defense than the U.S. Military does. This means soldiers have to prepare really well to fight ISIS. According to Nick Paton of CNN, “There is no easy answer to war.” War isn’t easy. War isn’t the greatest way to stop ISIS. But that leads to another question: What is?

There are better ways to stop ISIS. Dipping your toe in the water, similar to taunting ISIS, isn’t the best answer and is making the U.S. a bigger target. This means that taunting ISIS will make them mad and kill more people. ISIS shouldn’t be degraded, nor destroyed, but rather defeated. Max Boot of Newsweek states, “Impose a no-fly zone over part or all of Syria.” This means that less innocent people will be killed.

Some people think that ISIS can easily be beaten by war. Why? We have killed many ISIS members. However, there is a problem. We haven’t killed the strongest members of the team. ISIS is still hard to beat.

So, with all that said, we have to stop ISIS without starting a whole nother war like the one we are in. ISIS will makes us a bigger target, the military isn’t preparing well, and there are better ways to stop ISIS. To the military, don’t waste your time on war, try to do something else to stop ISIS. Take action and don’t post about starting wars on social media. Also, don’t vote for Donald Trump if he wants to start a war.

TIMOOOOO

Yesterday, we had another pinata. Yay. Oh yeah, and Timo was crazy, like in this vine.

https://vine.co/v/idLO2F7KWQn

What happens is Timo decides to throw a rocket ship off the stairs, acting like the bottom part goes back to earth, and the top part is in space. He got in a lot of trouble for it. My grandpa and Karen all yelled at him. The second part is him trying to get Cameron unstuck. He was at the back of the couch between the wall and the couch. It was pretty funny!

Canada

Yesterday, my mom said we were going to Greektown but took me to Canada for some "idk" reason. We went to a drug store to stock up on Kinder Eggs. Kinder Eggs are these eggs banned for selling in the US. They have toys inside and are banned for choking hazards. After that, we went to Mastermind Toys and looked around. They had a 3000 dollar elephant that was the size of an elephant. So cool! Anyways, we actually did eat at Greektown for lunch. It was so fun!

Timo

Okay, so I was with Timo again. He was sorta crazy. I was at the BCS Blast, and I got a lot of things. I got a Game Stop gift card, a sno-cone maker, and a bunch of other stuff. When I got home, Timo was shaking this pinball machine and throwing it at the wall. Really weird. And then Cameron started that. And then he cried because he couldn't smash my sno-cone maker. Fun.

Stuff

Ok, so if you don't know, I'm getting ready for a trip coming up soon. I might of given you the itinerary. The cruise is coming up soon. I get to eat fancy dinners, do stuff, do other stuff, and go on a drop slide. I'm not new to drop slides, though. I've been on one at Zhender's (probably one of my fav's waterslides). The floor drops and you go falling down and DIE. Not really, I'm just getting your nerves up. LOOOL. Okay, bye!

Birocratic

So, I recently got into this musician named Birocratic. He makes chill hip-hop songs. Most of his songs are instrumental, with some added vocals. He makes really chill music, so you can relax while listening to him on the beach. My favorite song, Samething, could be in actual hip-hop. He's really good at music. Enjoy his songs!

Gaze

Hey! I'm making a book! And it's getting published! The book is called Gaze, and it's a supernatural horror book. Here's an excerpt from it! Enjoy!

Tom replies with an "Okay then" and goes opens the door.

Alex is pinned to the wall, being dragged upward to the ceiling of the 40 feet tall gym and hears a faint voice say, "YOU WILL TELL NO ONE." The last thing Alex sees is him falling down the 40 feet gym and hitting the ground.

Tom swears and drags Alex to the other door, but now that door seems to be hard to open now.

Tom bangs the now heavy door a few times, getting closer to it being open every time. On his last hit, the door cleanly opens. Too clean.

Tom still has lots of force left, sending them flying to the bottom of the long flight of stairs that led to the school.

Minecraft

I made this SUPER long parkour map on Minecraft called The Dungeon. It involves tripwire and dispensers dispensing splash potions, ladder jumps, lava jumps, other jumps, speed jumps, and even a setting in the nether. I made it easy so it is capable of making five year olds not rage quit. Yay! 3 people randomly joined my server at school today. I had it in survival, so that's a first. If you see my map up (Adventure Parkour), join it and try to beat it!
