Steve Jobs

Today I watched the movie Steve Jobs. It's pretty depressing if you understand it. I'm going to tell you all about...His Products!

The Apple: The first personal computer. Jobs made it in his parents garage with his friend Woz. At first success but, eventually, people lost interest in them. Jobs then created the Mac only to later get fired from his job at the company he'd founded.  He then started a new company called NeXT.

NeXT: Jobs realized that Apple was failing so he decided to make another computer. However, it had no operating system. The company was later bought by Apple even though it had no operating system and Jobs was back to lead the company out of near bankruptcy.

The iMac: The first success. Yay.  It came in many colors.

At age 56, he lost his battle with cancer.  Steve Jobs last words were, "Oh wow. Oh wow. Oh wow." No one knows why he said this.

Game Reviews

Today I review 3 games: Eversion, Her Story, and D4.

Eversion:

A short horror platformer created by Zaratustra Productions. You are a small, flower like sprite named Zee Tee, and you have a power that allows you to "evert" from one reality to another. If you look on their website, it only tells you how to play. It states, "Discover the rest as the game progresses," and "A cute platformer with a dark secret". The "dark secret" is that as the game progresses, the once cute platformer turns into a dark, disturbing world. It's not too disturbing, it just gives you a creepy feeling.

Her Story:

A game produced by the same person who made Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and Aisle. Lights

The lights turn off. I can only see darkness. The walls start to close in. "No no no NO! NO!" I scream, hoping Tom will hear me. "TOM! HELP!" I hear a voice say, "Tom's not here. He left an hour ago."
"How?"
"..."
The walls are making me kneel. I think of my family. I know this is the last moment of my life. They close all the way. I think of how bad I'm bleeding right now. I stand up, without meaning to. I see no blood, no watery feeling. "Wait. What the?" I say. The lights turn back on, but I'm in a another room. This must be a test, I think. A test.

Signs

I come back to the abandoned building to show Tom; somewhere private. I try to show him how I know where it is on my laptop, but then-I hear a door creak. I turn around and find an opened door, still moving. "Wait a minute." I say to Tom. "What?" He replies. "Stay there." I tell him. "No-" I run towards the door and walk in. I walk across a wall colored blue with orange paint showing a sentence. This is that sentence: The last man on earth sat in a dark room. There was a knock on the door. "2 Sentence Horror Stories?" I think out loud. I look behind me. The door's locked.

"Don't you know that this is an abandoned area that you're not allowed to go in?" I hear Tom, a different FBI Agent say.  I'm in interrogation.
"Yes." I reply.
"What's your name?"
"Alex Fensner."

"Tell me. Why were you in there?"

Stories

"HEY!" I turn around, almost dead from his loud voice. "YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!" I look at his badge. He's a FBI Agent. Please don't take me to the station, please, I think.  I start to run. I can feel the wind I'm running so fast. I turn around only to trip on a piece of wire about 10 inches thick. He grabs my arms, picks me up, and throws me down on my stomach, still holding my arms. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed to you by the state." My parents are going to kill me when they find out, I think.

Story

Stories are everywhere. You could look in an abandoned building and most likely find a book. Speaking of abandoned buildings, I'm in one right now. Every time I step, I hear the sounds of broken glass and creaking wood. I'm trying to find one of the rarest books in the world right now. Only 8 copies of this book were made. Its name: The Book of Urizen. Only one of the copies was lost, and I'm the only person who knows where it is. Or so I hope.

3. 2. 1. Go. I run as fast as I can. I’m at Cedar Point. I’m feeling like I’m in the Hunger Games.  I find a coaster and wait in line. I’m waiting. Waiting to get on the world’s second tallest coaster. I look around me. There’s a girl in line that starts talking to me. She says she’s from Massachusetts. I get to the coaster. She chickens out and goes to a spot where her father tells her. Me? Well...  

I’m in the seat. Buckle. Click. Seat belt on. Palms. Sweaty. I look at the top of the coaster. I can barely see it because I’m shaking so much. What am I getting myself into? I think. I’m looking behind my seat.  Everyone is really excited and here I am in the very front seat, shaking like I’m in a horror movie. We’re moving forward slowly. We stop at a red light. I stare at the clouds. I pray not to roll back. I move my head to the traffic lights. The time is ticking. The last time I’ll be alive, I think.  I’m starting to doubt the decision I made.  

3. 2. 1. Launch. The light turns green too fast. Too fast to think about my decisions. I’m glued to the back of my seat. I try to see in my own vision. Both my eyes are starting to turn into one GoPro of its own.  I shut them closed. When I open my eyes again, I’m going up. Fast. I’m at 420 feet. I look around. I can see Canada from where I am. I can also easily see Lake Erie. I’m thinking about the lake. Someday I can swim in it. The near ocean waves crashing upon the wet sand, the seagulls crying, the hang gliders flying above my head, and the parachuting that I could try out.

Soon I get back to reality. I'm falling down. Fast.

This is my first year using Gamestar Mechanic, so you won't expect much. I'm going to try to make a 50 level game that might take a while to make. It's going to develop a story about 2 kids that find a portal to an unknown dimension that people have been trying to find since the 1960s. I'm going to call it, "Dimension Unknown". Once it's out, I will make a blog and post the link to it. It might be the best game I'll ever make! Maybe it will win awards!

The Past and the Present. We've all been through it. Back To the Future predicted 2015 pretty accurately. But some things they missed. There are no flying high hoverboards, barely any flying cars, no self lacing shoes-yet. Tomorrow's October 21st. The day when they traveled to 2015. Today is the last day we can create self lacing shoes for the movie to be accurate.  We do have lots of future, but we lost lots of past. Like we lost Crystal Pepsi and Surge before 2015. But at least we have cool future items.

This Is Why I'm Broke

What will you buy? I would get the Mechwarrior. Why? Because everyone wants a Titanfall style robot you can terrorize your friends and family with.

Gabe's House

I only got to see Timo for 30 minutes. Why? I went to my friend Gabe's house. First, I stayed at his house for 10 minutes. Then I got to see Goosebumps with him at the Emagine Theater in Birmingham. Then, since his house had a showing, I went to his friend's house. We played some computer games and Nerf Wars. However, Gabe got shot in the eye, so yeah. Then, my new friends started getting ready to start Booing people. I didn't get to come. Booing people is when you ding dong ditch people, but when they open the door, they find a bag of candy. It's pretty cool. After that, we threw parachute men down the stairs. Lastly, I said goodbye to my friends and left. It was really fun.

Thingy

I'm going to a thing today at the library. It's like a surprise to me because I have no idea what's going to happen. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be face painted into a zombie, but I'm not sure. It's somewhere in the library, but I don't know where. This is what it says:"Come get a crash course with tips and techniques to create zombie special effect makeup such as cuts, bruises, wounds, burns, black eyes and bullet holes. Join the highly skilled professionals from Astute Artistry Studios as they help you prepare for Halloween and beyond! Registration Required." This is what I'm going to do I guess. So I think I'll be face painted and learn how to do makeup effects. Astute Artistry is located in Berkley, Michighan!

Wendy's Story: Popeye's Visit to McDonalds

Once upon a time, there was a old lady named Popeye. She had never been to McDonalds. Why? She was a worker at Popeyes. She always messed up the orders and microwaved the chicken and waited half an hour to give the what was once hot chicken to the customer. One day, Popeye was missing! She had gone to McDonalds. She ate a Big Mac. Popeye didn't like the Chicken McNuggets she had also ordered, so she threw them away. She threw up that night. So that is why you should go to Wendy's. Here we have actually good burgers and other stuff.

Top Thrill Dragster

3.2.1.Launch. The sound of everyone screaming behind me is irresistible. I just have to scream too. So I do. Eyes. I’m seeing differently. They're turning into GoPros of their own. 100 miles per hour. My mom is squinting her eyes. She doesn’t want to lose her contacts. 125 miles per hour. Full speed. We’re going up. Fast.  300 feet. People yelling, “I don’t want to roll back!” 420 feet. Tops. The screaming rises. The stomach drops. I can see Canada from where I am.

Lake Erie. Maybe I can swim in it soon. I think all about it for a little bit. The blue near ocean waves crashing along the sand, the perfect temperature for a summery day. But then I get back to reality. I’m going down. Canada is soon out of sight. I’m feeling the wind hitting me on my face. I’m losing my breath (and I think I’m losing my face, too). Everybody’s screaming wakes me up from my daydream. My mom’s swearing.  

It ends. For 5 years I didn’t want to go on this thing. But it’s all over. All over so fast. My hair hasn’t moved (astonishingly). I’m feeling weak. Shaking. Violently. I’m getting back to the past. A girl just about ready to go on the second tallest roller coaster in the world. Waiting 45 minutes in line and then giving up, not wanting to go on the ride at all. I jump off the ride and look for her and her dad.

I never found her. She might of left for home. I just wanted to tell her that it was the best ride at Cedar Point, maybe ever. Well, it was worth the try.

fine. when we were walking up the stairs, this kid dressed up in a really scary costume made me let go of the rope and fall down the stairs. thats why im paralyzed in one of my legs. the kid almost got sued but i told my mom not to sue him.
